Leg 2

Las Vegas for this week. Staying in a swanky hotel with what seems like half of Tauranga celebrating a good friends 50th birthday.
I was here in 1990 but this town is a completely different animal now. Bigger than Ben Hur and hedonism gone mad.
We took a trip in a Eurocopter to the Grand Canyon today. A rare day with cu's - bases looked about 13000ft AGL.
Temp 43 deg on the ground - last night (this morning) at 2am it was still 38 deg.

    So the stopovers are for adjusting your body clock...Vagas is for temperature and altitude training...but Hawaii?? Water landing practise???
